This episode of the Capes and Tights Podcast, Justin Soderberg welcomes legendary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book artist Steve Lavigne to the show to discuss TMNT and more for TMNT Week!

Steve Lavigne is comic book illustrator best known for his lettering and coloring on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title for Mirage Studios, the first full-time artist on the series outside co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. He is the creator of Cudley the Cowlick, Sgt. Bananas, and Stump and Sling.

Lavigne attended Westbrook High School in Westbrook, Maine with Eastman. He is also the basis for the character of Michaelangelo, one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, according to Eastman.

Steve has continued to contribute to covers for the IDW Publishing TMNT on-going series as well as artwork for Joseph Schmalke's Murder Hobo , Shawn French's Epic Tavern - Tales From The Fantastical Crime Unit and much more.

Those in the Northeast United States can meet Steve Lavigne at the 2023 Granite State Comic Con from September 15-17 at DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown in Manchester, N.H.
